The Recovery Wall uses digital media as a means of promoting recovery and wellbeing.

The Recovery Wall is a key part of our WWAMH work supporting people to share their experiences and to promote understanding about mental health across our communities.

We want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences on the Recovery Wall, the films are so inspiring and help us to further our understanding about what supports good health and well being.

Bleddyn’s Story

My name is Bleddyn Rees and I served in the Army for 9 years. I left in 2018 and this is when I started to suffer from failing mental health. I got diagnosed with PTSD. I’m going through the process of receiving treatment and learning how to cope every day.

Dafydd’s Story

My name is Daf and have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Throughout the combination of working with sCAMHS and participation in blue exercise with TONIC surf, I’ve managed to overcome my demons and now strive to promote the outdoors and give back.

You Put On That Uniform

Mental health can affect anyone I never thought I would suffer as I was a very active hard working life and soul and then after a 10 month stay in hospital after having a total hip replacement my mental health journey began.

Owen’s Story

Steve Moore (CEO Hywel Dda University Health Board)

In this film we get to hear from Steve Moore who is the CEO of Hywel Dda University Health Board. Steve is a keen supporter of Time To Change Wales, and for tackling mental health stigma and discrimination within the workplace.

Road to Recovery (Music Video)

This music video was recorded and produced with the aid of WWAMH and CVCMedia by two of our volunteers on the Recovery Wall project. Chris and Mikey both have a keen interest in music and this is how they have chosen to tell their story – enjoy!
