The Nurse Within Me Exhibition – Closing Workshop
Facilitated by Maggie Nicols & Joanna Bond
Through sound, drawing and dialogue, we explore how creativity aids individual and collective mental health and nurtures open-hearted communication.
The workshop will consist of two improvisation exercises from Maggie Nicols’ inviting participants to play with voice, rhythm, movement and listening in a welcoming, supportive environment. These powerful practices encourage connection, spontaneity and authentic expression.
Joanna Bond will then guide you in creating an intuitive drawing inspired by the Bowl of Light. Working with acrylic paint pens, fabric paints and gold leaf, you’ll be invited to explore colour, mark-making and symbolism in your own unique way.
Using percussion instruments, drums, chimes, bells and voice, we’ll weave together sound, creativity and conversation in a truly experiential workshop. No artistic or musical experience is needed. There are no wrong notes and no wrong marks only an invitation to explore, express and connect with yourself and others.
